This class is open for rural and suburbanites alike. We will talk about how to to keep animals and set up your garden. Lunch Included.

Part I: You will gain the knowledge and skills that you’ll need to establish your own homestead. Our classes include discussions on planning and design, how to evaluate land, setting up organic gardening, orchards, getting started with raising chickens and other poultry, rabbits, pigs raising, dairy animals, fencing and other topics.

Classes will be held at South Valley Homestead in Sandia Park, New Mexico. See Map for details. ***Class is limited to only 20 participants so signup quickly. The class will go on rain or shine. No refunds, if there is a “snow day” the class will be moved another weekend date (most likely a Sunday of the same month).
